5 Reasons Why I Love Paperbag Shorts

I’ve been loving the paperbag shorts trend lately and I’ve been wanting to order these shorts for a while. I love the neutral stripe vibe. I’ve had a few of you ask about this trend so I thought I’d say 5 reasons why I love paperbag shorts or pants!

5 Reasons to Love Paperbag Shorts or Pants:

1 – They are HIGH waisted.

I love a good high waist short or pants for that matter. High waisted can be flattering on every body type you just have to find the right rise. Just because one pair of high rise pants/shorts doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean other won’t. Don’t give up and just find the ones that work for you.

2 – They disguise a pooch…lol.

Nothing wrong with having a little extra loving but sometimes we don’t want to put that all on display. The pleating in this style creates ballooning in the front area, some all the way around making any “poochage” look intentional. Genius if you ask me!

3 – They create a waist…if you don’t have one.

I have a straighter body type which means I sometimes need to create the look of a smaller waist and this style just naturally creates the look of a waist line even if one doesn’t exist. If you already have one, it just makes it that much better….voila!

4 – They come with their own accessory.

Yep, they all come with a belt. Which means you’ve got a built in accessory that already makes your outfit look that much more pulled together. Not good at putting accessories together. You don’t need to, these usually come with a belt. If they don’t they usually have oversized buttons….another built in accessory. Win win!

5 – The lengths are usually just right.

Because of the high waisted proportions brands usually add an extra inch or so to the length so they aren’t super short. I’ve had great luck with paperbag shorts. You know I am picky about that length. I can’t do the super short shorts anymore…lol.
