I get asked all the time to share more cute home decor with y’all so I thought I’d put together a current home decor favorites post for y’all. A little background on our home. We built it 7 years ago and of course were able to choose all the finishes, etc. My taste has drastically changed, which is why I am making so many changes. My home has a lot of dark finishes…oil rubbed bronze, dark cabinetry, warm tile work and darker wood floors. So, I am trying to lighten it up with the furniture and accessories.
CUTE HOME DECOR FAVORITES
1 – Sherwin Williams Repose Grey
I get asked about my paint color all the time. So, I had to include it in this post. We had our entire home repainted several months back from a warm tan color to repose grey and it made a HUGE difference. It’s gave me the motivation to change so many other areas in our home. Yes, getting your home painted professionally can be pricey, but it was so worth it. This grey is the perfect shade of grey and beige, it’s not cold and not too warm. It’s fresh and clean and so homey and modern.
2 – Gold Chandelier
I’ve changed a few light fixtures throughout the house to gold but this one has by far become my favorite. I put it in the sitting room and it’s perfect. It really brightens up the space and gives it the touch of bling it needed. I love the look of the clear glass. It gives this traditional style a modern touch. Oh, did I mention, it’s UNDER $200!
3 – Aged Console Table
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect console table for our entry and found it in this gorgeous antiqued grey piece. It comes in 3 finished and all are gorgeous. This piece is stunning in person. I will admit, I was hesitant to order this without seeing it in person, but it’s one of my favorite pieces in our home. It’s substantial but low profile. So, it feels and looks so much more expensive than it is.
4 – Faux Orchid Flowers
When it comes to flowers I am VERY picky. They tend to look cheap and cheesy to me but these are so good. They have a great height without taking up too much space. They really look good in any space I’ve put them in and I think for what you get the price is right too.
5 – Pedestal Side Table
I love the vibe that natural wood gives to a space. This side table is exactly what I needed in my sitting room to go next to my chaise. It’s a great size and feels like a high end piece without the price tag. I was planning on ordering a second one I love it that much.
6 – Tufted Chaise Lounge
Speaking of chaise, this is the one I have in my sitting room and I LOVE IT!! There is something so feminine about a chaise. I’ve always wanted one in my home but didn’t have a space in mind until now. I can also picture this in a sitting area in a master bedroom. Talk about elegant.
7 – Textured Pillow Covers
I’ve talked about pillows a few times with y’all. I may even have mentioned these, but I love them. They are, wait for it…….machine washable. Yep!! If you have kids, cats, dogs, or anything living in your home…including yourself….lol, you need washable pillow covers. These looks so nice and give a little texture and pattern but without all the worry. Order a few, trust me, you’ll love them.
8 – Fringe Throw Blanket
I talk about my Barefoot Dreams throws all the time y’all, you know those are a must. But…let’s be honest, they are pricey and I wanted to share a more affordable favorite with y’all. This fringe plush throw is so soft and cozy without the BFD price tag. It comes in a ton of colors, I ordered two and we all love these.
9 – Huge Floor Mirror
Y’all this beauty is HUGE and I am obsessed. I remember the day it was delivered, it was heavy and a little bit of a pain to find the perfect spot, but it’s perfect. I’ve seen similar sized, even smaller mirrors for double and triple the price. This one is a steal for the look, size and quality you get. If you need a statement mirror, I found it for you!
10 – Upholstered Counter Stools
I was looking for a counter stool for our island that would brighten up the kitchen….remember dark cabinets. I came across these and had to order them. The color of the wood and the upholstered seat were exactly what the space needed. We have two and they get a lot of use.
11 – White Marble and Gold Tray
I get asked about this tray every single time I share it. It’s still in stock and only $34.99. It looks expensive, but it’s not. It’s perfect for in the bathroom for beauty products or when entertaining guests for appetizers. I also love the idea of putting it on a coffee table or ottoman. It’s versatile, affordable and so chic.
12 – X back chairs
I ordered this set not exactly knowing where I’d use them but had to have them. One ended up in the guest bedroom with a writing desk and one in Mason’s room at his homework desk. Those two spaces couldn’t be any more different from each other but the chairs look perfect in each space.
All so pretty. I also have the somewhat dark cabinets so I’m trying to change it to all white, I think l will eventually paint them. Love your picks!
